Pierce County is now making personal protective equipment (PPE) available to Pierce County businesses for free, in an effort to assist them with COVID-19 workplace safety practices, along with protecting employees and customers. PPE products available include disposable, non-surgical masks, and infrared forehead thermometers. Businesses are able to put in a request for PPE while supplies last.
This program is funded through the $158 Million in Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding. Pierce county will focus a total of $30 Million on recovery projects and economic stabilization efforts.
To receive PPE, complete the request form at www.PierceCountyWA.gov/BusinessPPE and select what type of PPE is needed. Items are scheduled to be distributed June 1 – June 3. Businesses who request PPE will receive additional information as to how to pick up PPE from Pierce County locations.
