In Tacoma-Pierce County, we make sure that aerospace companies have a smooth landing when setting up shop here. We have no personal state income tax, no corporate income tax and no inventory tax. There is also no sales or use tax for machinery and equipment used in manufacturing operations; no sales or use tax for aerospace businesses for computer hardware, software and peripherals; and no retail sales or use tax for the construction of new facilities used in airplane repair and maintenance. We have one of the largest, most successful foreign trade zones in Washington State, along with a family-wage jobs credit and workforce training grants & credits. Finally, there are countless project-specific state and local programs to bolster your aerospace technology and manufacturing operations in Tacoma-Pierce County.
