Lt. Governor Cyrus Habib visits EDB

EDB hosts Lt. Governor for economic listening tour

The Lt. Governor spent Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in Pierce County, visiting Tacoma, Lakewood, and Parkland, as part of his continued economic development and education tours throughout the state.

Following campus visits to Bates Technical College, Clover Park Technical College, and Pacific Lutheran University, the Lt. Governor met with business leaders, hosted by the Economic Development Board for Tacoma-Pierce County. He offered to work with the EDB and Pierce County leaders on:

  1. Bringing Associate Development Organizations – like the EDB – in front of his bi-partisan Economic Development Committee to discuss the role of ADOs in the State economy
  2. Connecting and coordinating with the EDB on international delegation opportunities
  3. Meeting with the EDB bi-annually to stay connected with issues in Pierce County
  4. Discussing high level legislative issues related to Economic Development such as the office incentives bill, the Capital Budget, and Department of Commerce funding
